The IPCI project is the largest chemical project and the first polyolefin project in Kazakhstan

On November 8 local time, the petrochemical integration (IPCI) project, the largest chemical project in Kazakhstan contracted by China Chemical EPC, was completed and put into operation. President Tokayev of Kazakhstan attended relevant activities, and Wen Gang, General Manager of China National Chemical Corporation and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, was invited to attend the production ceremony and exchanged views with President Tokayev.

The IPCI project is the largest chemical project and the first polyolefin project in Kazakhstan. It is an important achievement in implementing the "the Belt and Road" initiative and deepening China Kazakhstan capacity cooperationDuring President Xi Jinping's state visit to Kazakhstan in September this year, Xinhua News Agency made a special report on the project. The construction of this project has lasted nearly 5 years, mainly including the general contracting for the design, procurement, construction, start-up and performance assessment of the 500000 t/a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) to propylene unit and polypropylene (PP) unit, as well as the utilities required for the two sets of process units. The successful completion and operation of the project will provide important support for promoting the upgrading of Kazakhstan's petrochemical industry and effectively promote the local economic and social development.
