The complete set of closed cooling tower equipment is composed of main engine, water tank, circulating water pump and electric control cabinet. The main engine is composed of shell, heat exchanger, fan, spray water pump, water collector, water tank, pipeline valve and other parts.
During operation, the cooling medium (soft water, oil or other liquids) is driven by the main circulating pump to circulate between the heat exchanger and the equipment to be cooled. The spray water is evenly sprayed on the heat exchanger to form a uniform water film on the outer surface of the heat exchanger. The cold air enters the tower from the air inlet below the tower and flows counter to the spray water through the surface of the heat exchanger, In this process, there are two heat exchange modes, namely, the heat conduction between cold air and cooling medium and the heat exchange of evaporation and heat absorption of spray water. The saturated hot and wet air after absorbing heat is discharged to the atmosphere by fan, and the rest of the spray water flows into the water tank at the lower part of the tower and then transmitted to the spray system by water pump. In this way, the cooling medium in the heat exchanger is cooled.
