  • How to use the cooling tower correctly

    1. Preparation before operation: the cooling tower shall be inspected and cleaned before operation. The operation part shall be checked in detail and can be carried out only after there is no problem. The following are the areas to be checked:
    (1) Clean the sundries and sludge on the bottom basin and check whether the pipeline is blocked.
    (2) Wash the heat dissipation film and the soil in the bottom basin with high-pressure water (the water pressure should not be too high), and discharge the sewage through the sewage outlet
    (3) Check whether the motor wiring is correct and firm, and whether the motor junction box is tightly covered to avoid water and gas infiltration
    (4) Check the belt tightness in the belt drive
    (5) Check whether the fan rotates flexibly and smoothly, and whether the clearance between the tail of each fan blade and the shell of the water tower is uniform
    (6) Check whether the float valve assembly is properly installed
    (7) Check whether the number and density of each layer of film are appropriate
    (8) Check that all bolts of the cooling tower are tightened

    2. Operation of cooling tower
    (1) Water level adjustment: fill the water basin and water pipe of the cooling tower to the operating water level first, and adjust the float valve combination to the operating water level to ensure that the water level of the bottom basin is still at the operating water level after the water pump is started, that is, 15mm below the overflow.
    (2) Turn on the motor switch and observe it from the top of the water tower. The fan should rotate clockwise and the air flow is drawn out from the top of the water tower. Start the circulating water system and check the operating current at this time. The current value does not exceed 95% of the rated current shown on the motor nameplate. After the water pump runs, it enters the rotating water sowing system through the central roar pipe and is distributed on the water sowing pipe Drench the water evenly and carefully.

    The selection of outdoor conversion temperature point of cooling tower cooling mode is directly related to the cooling hours of the system. It is assumed that the required water supply humidity at the end of the air conditioner is 12.7 ℃ through calculation. Considering the cooling range of the cooling tower, the heat loss of the pipeline and the heat exchanger to increase the water temperature by 4.5 ℃, the cooling tower cooling mode can be switched when the outdoor wet bulb temperature is equal to or lower than 8.2 ℃. After the cooling tower in the system is selected according to the cooling load in summer and the outdoor calculated wet bulb temperature in summer, its cooling capacity under the cooling tower cooling mode shall also be checked. Plate heat exchanger shall be selected as heat exchanger in indirect cooling system. Compared with the traditional shell and tube heat exchanger, the plate heat exchanger has high efficiency. Considering the specific outdoor wet bulb temperature and building load, the cooling amplitude of the cooling tower (the difference between the outlet temperature of the cooling tower and the outdoor wet bulb temperature) decreases with the increase of the size of the cooling filler. Therefore, for multiple sets of cooling tower systems, the method of series cooling tower can be used to increase the cooling effect and improve the outdoor conversion temperature of cooling tower cooling mode, so as to increase the cooling hours. In terms of circulating water equipment management, cooling tower fans account for a large proportion in terms of equipment quantity, maintenance workload and power consumption. The drenching packing of the cross flow cooling tower shall have a contraction inclination to the vertical central axis of the tower from the top to the bottom. The shrinkage angle of drip type water spraying filler should be 9 ° ~ 11 °; The contraction angle of the film type water spraying packing should be 5 ° ~ 6 °, and the cross flow cooling tower should be provided with measures to prevent short-circuit flow of air from the bottom of the packing to the water surface. After the cooling tower packing in the system is selected according to the cooling load in summer and the outdoor calculated wet bulb temperature in summer, its cooling capacity under the cooling tower cooling mode shall also be checked. The chilled water pump in the cooling water loop shall be provided with bypass. When the cooling tower is in the cooling mode, the chilled water pump is closed and the cooling water passes through the chilled water pump. At this time, the circulating water power is provided by the cooling water pump. Therefore, the conversion of special pumps for cooling should be considered in the system design.
